Event Committee
The Event Committee is where connection turns into action. We plan and organize activities that bring our members together and move our values forward.
From a book club, walking club, postcard writing campaigns, and supporting local candidates, we create meaningful ways for members to get involved. This is the first stop for anyone looking to join a small group — or start a new one.
We’re a friendly, welcoming, and productive team committed to promoting democratic values and standing firmly against fascism and authoritarianism. If you’re ready to plug in, build community, and make an impact, we’d love to have you join us.
Fundraising Committee
We are a 100% self-funded volunteer group. We are looking for folks with experience and creative input to help us raise funds so we can continue our grassroots efforts.
Political Advocacy Committee
Staying engaged with local and national politics has never been more critical in the fight to save American democracy. Fox Valley Rising is committed to supporting pro-democracy candidates at the local and national levels.
Our Mission Statement: We mobilize and educate our FVR community to understand their rights, engage and educate in elections at every level (local, state, federal), hold elected officials and community leaders accountable, support qualified candidates and promote through civic actions grounded in equality and justice.
Our Vision Statement: Thriving communities where democracy is protected, every voice is heard, and equitable governance ensures freedom and opportunity for all.
Tech and Communications Committee
The Fox Valley Rising Tech & Communications Committee keeps our chapter connected and informed. This team manages our website, email communications, and social media while proactively exploring and testing new technologies to enhance our outreach. They ensure members know how to get involved, support other committees with tech needs, and help keep our messaging clear, consistent, and effective.
Welcoming Committee
The Welcome Committee is here to help new members feel at home in FVR. We focus on people first – greeting new members, reconnecting returning members, and introducing people to one another. We create pathways to involvement, help you find activities that match your interests and passions, and make sure no one feels like a stranger. Our goal is to build connection, spark belonging, and ensure every member feels valued and inspired to participate. Whether you’re attending your first event or looking to get more involved, we’re here for you.
